As a child, I prioritized actions that I believed would earn me love and approval, often neglecting my own needs. This pattern persisted into adulthood and I can still feel the pain of this in my chest, when I choose to listen.
Automatic thoughts and behaviors, shaped by the belief that others’ needs outweighed my own, still influence me today. Learning to tune into what my body was communicating supported my healing, and I believe this approach can help you too.
You’d like to feel more relaxed and able to find your flow.
In our work together let’s go beyond thoughts to uncover underlying emotions and reveal a wealth of insights. We will explore your internal landscape and illuminate your unique path to healing.
Utilizing both the body and mind will serve as a guide to understand experiences of dismissal, isolation and hurt and provide the nurturing you lacked in your formative years.
Your sensitivity may present challenges in both relationships and professional settings. Human beings inherently long for love and connection, and when this need isn’t met, it can be deeply distressing. I’ll guide you to cultivate compassion for vulnerable parts of yourself and help you recognize your sensitivity as a strength and a valuable indicator of your needs and desires.
You deserve to know and love your authentic self
Somatic therapy can help you gain awareness of your inner thoughts, emotions, memories and bodily sensations. You don’t need to feel ashamed of who you are or to change in order to be loved. My role is to guide you in uncovering your authentic self and embracing it, as this is your greatest gift to share with the world.
You were initially drawn to your partner for compelling reasons, likely experiencing a strong felt sense and positive connection as a couple. Now you’ve come to a place that feels stuck and you’re uncertain about the way forward. Drawing from both mental and physical insights can offer invaluable support as you navigate your path to growth.
Utilizing both the mind and body as tools for insight and growth is essential.
As your therapist, I would encourage mindfulness of your experience, fostering insights into conflicts within your relationship and how your personal histories impact you.
Connecting thoughts, feelings and body sensations provides a complete picture of what you’re experiencing as individuals and in partnership. This approach can facilitate change at a nervous system level, going deeper than analyzing any story.
Together, let’s explore the underlying roots of your challenges and address lingering wounds. By attending to your bodily sensations, even those not consciously recognized, we can uncover valuable insights. Through the therapeutic process, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences, fostering true self-awareness and healing.
Imagine slowing down your racing thoughts, feeling lighter, and experiencing deeper connections in your relationships.
I’ll assist you to use the power of somatic therapy to help you feel more grounded and less locked in conflict with your partner. With my nurturing presence, you’ll feel safe to share vulnerably, fostering deeper healing. I believe in the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and emotions, without hierarchy.
Through this process we’ll explore how past experiences shaped your tendency to prioritize others over yourself and we’ll cultivate self-compassion to help you gain a clearer sense of your desires and needs.

Yes.
I offer in person sessions at my office in Berkeley and online therapy via HIPPA compliant Zoom platform.
Sessions are held weekly or every other week and are 50 minutes in length. I meet weekly with new clients. Some clients reach a point where they see improvement and would like to meet every other week so I am open to discussing this and come up with a mutual decision about when this might be helpful.
I don’t meet with new clients every other week because it’s essential to build a relationship for me to offer the most effective support.

I specialize in working with female-identified individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Through somatic therapy and parts work, I provide a safe and compassionate space for you to reconnect with your body and explore the different parts of yourself.
Trauma is stored in the body, and somatic therapy helps release these stored experiences, restoring sensation and full feeling to areas that may have been numb or shut down for years.
Parts work enables us to reconnect with parts of ourselves we may have run from or buried in order to survive. Together, we will deepen your understanding of yourself and get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck, enabling you to feel more fully alive and embody your most authentic self.
